(US terminology)

The Poncho Power is a great pattern for beginner knitters. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to knit it!

However, it´s not a simple poncho. It´s three pieces in one: hood, cowl and poncho. Knitted with circular needles, it´s made in rounds, from bottom to top in Double Moss Stitch.

You only need to know basic knit stitches as purl and knit.

The pattern is a PDF document that includes written instructions and charts.

Technique: Knit

Level: Beginner

Size: adult (one size fits all)

Finished width: 38 1/2” / 98 cm

Finished length: 25” / 63.5 cm, not including collar

*The measurements are in inches and centimetres.

Materials: 900 g Rubí Alpaca Power, 10% baby alpaca, 15% merino wool, 75% acrylic premium wool, 150 g, 65 yds / 60 m or a similar thick, single-ply wool-acrylic blend yarn in a fun range of self-striping and colourways.

Circular needles: US size 17 (12mm) circular needles, cable 31″ (80 cm)

Crochet hook: US size 17 (12mm)

Other notions: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends, tape measure, scissors and elastic thread.
