The Mediterranean Shrug is an oversized garment that can be worn as a shawl. It is an easy to follow pattern, crocheted in one piece. You need to know chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, double treble crochet and front and back post double crochet.

The design consists of a lace pattern that brings to mind palm trees. That is why, as I crocheted it, I imagined walking along the seashore at sunset. Light and warm, it´s the perfect piece for the cooler evenings.

The pattern is a pdf document that includes written instructions, a chart and video tutorials.

Level: Intermediate

Sizes: S/M (L/XL, 2XL/3XL, 4XL/5XL)

Finished measurements:

To fit bust: 34-38 (40-44, 46-50, 52-58)” / 86-96 (102-112, 117-127, 132-147)

Upper arm circumference: 14 (16, 18, 20)” / 35 (40, 45, 50) cm

Sample size: S/M.

Because of the oversized style of the sweater, choosing a size is less about exact chest size and more about how loose you want your sweater to fit.

Materials: 4 (4, 5, 5) skeins Vidalana Oasis (DK weight), col. Morocco, 50% Alpaca, 25% Wool, 25% Suri, 100g, 250 yds / 230 m or similar yarn

Crochet hook: US G6 / 4.0 mm 

Other notions: Tapestry needle, tape measure and scissors

Gauge blocked: 2 Palm tree sts x 4 Palm tree st rows = 7” (17 x 17 cm) or 29 sts x 8 rows = 7” (17 x 17 cm) in pattern stitch
