The Crochet Rainbow pattern was created during lockdown in 2020. We had to stay home and the hours seemed endless. The general mood was very low. So, it came up to me to send a ray of sunshine to all homes in the form of a rainbow. Then we would put all our rainbows on the windows. And the story continues…

The rainbow can be made using any weight yarn. It is written for both adventuruous beginners and more experienced crocheters to enjoy. You will be using chain, slip stitch and double crochet. It is made starting from bottom up. You can finish it with tassels, pom poms, fringing, applique clouds and a sun, whatever you want!

The pattern is a pdf document that includes written instructions, a chart and a step-by-step video tutorial.

Technique: Crochet

Level: Beginner

Measurements: 15.75” (40 cm) x 15.75” (40 cm) approx.

Materials: Safran de Drops, cotton 100%, 50 g, 160 m / 175 yds or 5 colors scrap yarn

1 ball, col. 15 (plum)

1 ball, col. 28 (orange)

1 ball, col. 11 (sunshine)

1 ball, col. 31 (apple green)

1 ball, col. 59 (red clay)

Crochet hook: 3 mm or use a hook size suitable for your yarn, leaning towards a smaller hook size, especially if you have loose tension.

Other notions: Tapestry needle and scissors

Gauge: It is not essential for this project.
