This is a crescent shaped shawl worked from the top down, starting at the centre of the top border, with a garter tab cast-on and then, growing to the sides and down. It´s made in 4 sections:

Section 1: Garter stitch,

Section 2: Estonian knitting pattern,

Section 3: Fantasy stitch with lace flowers,

Section 4: Zig-Zag lace edge and i-cord.

To knit this shawl, you need to know to perform a garter-tab cast-on, knit, purl, change colors, make increases, decreases and yarn overs and work an i-cord edge. The instructions include free video links that visually demostrate all the techniques.

In Estonian knitting pattern, worked flat, and after blocking
21 sts x 20 rows = 3.34” (8,5cm) width x 2.16” (5,5cm) height

Crochet hook: US 2.5 (3 mm) and US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles in 16” (40 cm) and 47” (120 cm) length
3 mm crochet hook
